what the heck?!? [May. 12th, 2006|08:19 pm]
It seems that my blog has gone back in time. Just today, it somehow fully reverted back to February 2006. The entry I made last night is no longer there, nor is anything between February and today. Poof, gone. My template edits have reverted, the entries have disappeared from both the main page and the archive... something's amiss.

Jerry, when you read this, please let me know what's going on.

if you're missing all the craziness... [Dec. 20th, 2004|08:57 pm]
Just in case I'm still on your friends list but you aren't reading my main blog site, you should really head over and see what's going on nowadays. Things have gone truly wonky.

As a ferinstance... I might end up in Calgary. Go read.

back writing again, but not here [Nov. 25th, 2004|11:17 pm]
There might be about two of you out there that will remember that I used to quite regularily write in my Greymatter blog, Not From Toronto. Well, now that I have time on my hands, and attitude (or is it "character"?) giving me good motivation to write, I've picked it back up and started writing again.

It's not the typical well column that I used to do - it's more of a place to vent about my current situation. In any case, if you missed reading my inane rantings, they're back.

the worst sneeze [Nov. 15th, 2004|12:30 pm]
Sneezing is rarely an elegant affair. I have yet to see someone manage a dignified sneeze. But what do you do when you're just getting over a cold, are in the middle of eating a carrot stick, and a sneeze comes upon you? As I just found out, the only options are to sneeze out your nose and hope for the best, or let the orange chunks fly.

I'm just lucky I didn't spray my monitor. Ick.

I hope the anagram's wrong [Nov. 1st, 2004|11:19 am]
Why do nerds like myself love anagrams? I have no idea, but I hope they're wrong about the forthcoming US election:

"election results" becomes "RE-ELECTS OIL NUTS" (courtesy of the Internet Anagram Server)

Here's hoping that's not the case.

OK, I lied... [Apr. 1st, 2004|01:23 pm]
Argh, Livejournal is sucking me in! This is only post #2, so I'm not all that worried. I finally decided that instead of skulking through a whole whack of other people's "friends" listings to get my daily comics fix, I'd just suck it up and make my own friends list. I think I'm missing one comic feed, but I can't remember what it was. Oh well.

Just to update the previous entry, Gordie.ca isn't exactly what it used to be right now, and thus ALL my posting activities are happening over at Not From Toronto, both weekly articles and sporading mid-week updates and ponderings. I finally got around to playing with the layout, so it's not nearly as annoyingly out-of-the-box looking than previously. Stay tuned for more updates.

Now, if I can only get an RSS feed going on Not From Toronto, I'll be set. I'm not Wil yet, but I'm on my way!

First, and likely Last [Jan. 9th, 2004|09:47 am]
Many moons ago I grabbed this account simply to view my friend's "Friends Only" post. Well, I haven't used this for much else since. The only things I've done are uploaded an avatar and used my login to post comments on my friends' posts.

Well, it's going to stay that way. I have two other places that I spend my time ranting and raving, so I thought I'd finally link to them. I won't be using this account for a journal entry, so I may as well direct people to where I *am* posting.

First is my weekly posting, an article entitled Not From Toronto, which you can find here. I'm still working on the site design, but at least it's a place where my articles can be displayed and archived.

For more, albeit sporadic, updates you can check out Gordie.ca, where Not From Toronto is also featured, mixed in with smaller journal entries. The benefit here is the comments system, which I don't have to manage. While my other site could have comments, it's something I'd rather not have to administer myself.

So, there you have it. Weekly or not-quite-daily, it's up to you.
